Cardinal Gibbons Runner Dies In Auto Accident

There is more tragic news to report out of North Carolina today, as the local news in Raleigh is reporting that Madeline Shook has died from a car accident that happened Tuesday morning while she was on the way to school. 

Shook, a junior, placed 17th at NXR Southeast last November. 

She opened her 2018 season Aug. 25 with a fourth-place finish at the Western North Carolina Cross Country Festival. 

More importantly, it's a devastating loss to her family, friends and teammates -- and the Cardinal Gibbons community.
